Job Description

An Insight Global client is seeking to hire an Academic Instructor to join their team in Flint, MI assisting individuals to obtain their GED to enter into the workforce. This is a permanent, direct-hire position, onsite M - F, 7:45am to 4:45pm.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Education and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certified to teach in state of Michigan
• 1-2+ years of teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Teach subjects such as Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications, Career Success Standards, Health Education, Driver’s Education, or HSD/HSE.
• Promote a positive atmosphere and maintain discipline to maximize learning.
• Establish rapport with students and provide regular feedback on their performance.
• Collaborate with career tech instructors on curriculum development and utilize available resources.
• Prepare for classes and maintain student records, including attendance and performance evaluations.
• Aim to meet performance standards in learning gains, certifications, and trade completion.
• Conduct audits, follow guidelines, and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Assist with graduation exercises and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Participate in mandatory training and demonstrate core values and operating principles.

Compensation:

$51k to $55k annually.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
