Admissions Assessment Counselor

9-5, M-F work schedule

Healthcare Recruiters International (HCRI) is seeking an Admissions Assessment Counselor to provide information about our Nebraska treatment program, assess care needs, and manage the admissions process. Support program operations by coordinating schedules, facilitating meals, and running groups.

Admissions Assessment Counselor Responsibilities :

• Respond to inquiries (in person, phone, email, or web) within 24 hours.
• Share program details clearly and ethically.
• Conduct clinical assessments and recommend appropriate care.
• Build rapport with potential patients to encourage program enrollment.
• Maintain relationships with community providers and referral sources.
• Refer patients to appropriate professionals or resources (e.g., psychiatrists, nutritionists, therapists).
• Complete and organize admissions paperwork accurately and on time.
• Handle pre-certifications and insurance-related tasks efficiently.
• Schedule patients in the system and communicate details to relevant staff.
• Facilitate group sessions and help new patients settle into the program.
• Collaborate with the financial team to resolve payment or insurance issues.
• Stay informed about patient needs and current program enrollment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Admissions Assessment Counselor Qualifications :

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in clinical assessments and understanding of eating disorders and dual diagnosis is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in scheduling and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Admissions Assessment Counselor Compensation :

Pay: $43K - $56K Base + Commission/year
