Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled Drafter to join the Panel Division of one of our clients. You’ll play a key role in supporting project managers by creating, modifying, and reviewing shop drawings for high-quality architectural panel projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong CAD experience, blueprint reading ability, and an eye for detail who can collaborate across estimating, project management, and production teams. Responsibilities :

• Create and/or modify existing drawings based on inputs from the estimating team and complete tasks as assigned by the Drafting Manager.
• Review drawings returned by GC for correction.
• Share and collaborate with the Project Management department as required.
• Manage the updating of system of record with Drafting information/dates (such as eSub & other locations that may contain drawings, etc.).
• Make sure that drawings ae based on scope and architectural contract documents.
• When required will revise Shop drawings based on Architect/GC comments.
• Assists with process for Material Take-Off for Panels and accessories.
• Assists with the Input of field sizes into shop drawings.
• Assist as required with production of As-Built & Record sets of drawings

Requirements :

• High School Diploma or equivalent with courses related to drafting
• Able to read blueprints and shop drawings
• Knowledge of construction and fabrication methods preferred (particularly exterior facades)
• Able to meet deadlines and manage team to meet deadlines
• Experience using Computer‐Aided Design (CAD) System
