Job Description

A barista's (aka Baristameister's) job includes preparing and serving drinks, interacting with customers, and maintaining a clean work area:

• Customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, and create a fun experience
• Drink preparation: Make coffee, espresso, tea, and other drinks, and customize orders to customer preferences
• Cash handling: Take orders, process payments, and operate cash registers
• Cleanliness: Keep the work area, equipment, and seating areas clean and sanitized
• Stocking: Ensure the customer service area has supplies, and stock merchandise
• Food service: Serve food like baked goods, sandwiches, and salads
• Health and safety: Follow health and safety guidelines, and report equipment maintenance needs
• Education: Educate customers about the coffee menu
• Baking: Simple baking tasks
• Social Media: engage on our social media platforms
• Inventory: Inventory, order, or receive products
• Temperature: Check the temperature of freezers, refrigerators, and heating

Our Baristameisters often work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Baristameisters should be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for more than four hours.

Qualifications

Prior Barista experience, longevity of service to us as a team member (at least 1 year), customer service experience, patience, tenacity, and good WORK ETHIC.
