A well-established general contractor in Chicago, IL , specializing in commercial, multifamily, and healthcare projects, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is essential in overseeing projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of commercial, multifamily, and healthcare construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and work plans to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope and ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to mitigate delays or budget overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Lead project meetings, provide regular status updates to stakeholders, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in commercial, multifamily, or healthcare projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
