Job Description

As a Construction Project Manager , you’ll be responsible for overseeing the Mechanical HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems on large commercial and industrial projects across the country. This role will require national travel , giving you the chance to work on diverse projects in various locations while gaining invaluable experience. From managing budgets and schedules to ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards, you’ll be at the helm of key project milestones and ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale mechanical HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects , ensuring they’re completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines , tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned according to specifications and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to keep projects on track and exceed expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local building codes , safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Travel nationally to job sites, providing on-site leadership and guidance throughout project phases.
  • Maintain a focus on cost control , identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing project finances effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing mechanical HVAC, piping, and plumbing construction projects, specifically in large commercial and industrial environments .
  • Previous experience in project management with a focus on mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing).
  • National travel availability and the ability to work across multiple job sites and regions.
  • Strong understanding of construction project management , including scheduling, budgeting, and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to build strong client and team relationships.
  • Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Buildertrend) and basic project management tools.
