Job Description

Job Title: Customer Service Coordinator I

Location: Corning, NY (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

Duration: 11/04/2025 – 10/06/2026 (Possibility of extension or full-time conversion)

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary

The Customer Service Coordinator I will serve as the first point of contact for internal customers and department representatives, supporting a variety of administrative and service coordination activities. This role requires strong communication, organization, and customer service skills to ensure seamless support across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial contact for internal customers and department teams, handling incoming calls, emails, and requests.
  • Coordinate meeting and event logistics, including room scheduling and service setup.
  • Enter and manage work orders and conference room reservations using internal systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data entry within the department’s systems.
  • Support ongoing administrative tasks such as calendar management and correspondence.
  • Assist with special projects and customer events as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (2-year degree) required
  • Preferred fields: Business Administration, Office Management, or related discipline
  • Previous call center or customer service experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SharePoint or room scheduling software
  • High energy, positive attitude, and strong problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with administrative coordination in a corporate environment

Additional Details

  • Training: Conducted onsite; hybrid schedule begins after training.
  • Work Arrangement: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote per week.
  • Local Candidates Only: Must be located within commuting distance of Corning, NY.
  • Overtime: Not expected; may occur with prior managerial approval.
