Job Description

Position Title: Journeyman Electrician

Environment: 100% on-site

Location: Atlanta, GA

Position Status: Direct Hire

Pay rate: $75,000

In this role you will be working in an industrial manufacturing environment responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems operating at medium to high voltage levels. This includes working on power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, and control circuits critical to industrial operations. You will ensure compliance with electrical codes, company safety policies, and industry standards. Success in this role will be demonstrated through safe work practices, minimized downtime, and the reliable operation of high voltage electrical infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents related to high voltage systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair medium/high voltage equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and motor control centers.
• Monitor and maintain load requirements for foam injectors, extruders, presses, etc.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots faulty wiring
• Runs tests on generators and other backup systems
• Leads compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards
• Checks for and deploy upgrades of electrical components
• Documents problems and prepares reports
• Facilitates order of needed electrical components

Experience and Education:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial/high voltage electrical environment.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• 4+ years of experience with 480V and wiring associated with transformers, pumps, MCCs, PLCs, etc.
• Understanding and good experience with Three-phase wiring and circuitry
• Completion of a certified electrical apprenticeship program.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, motor control, and industrial automation systems.
• Proficiency with the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash protection requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in high-risk environments.
