Energy Project Manager

We're working with a leading provider of innovative engineering solutions within the energy sector who specialise in optimising energy efficiency, hiring an Energy Project Manager in New York. The firm are committed to delivering cutting-edge projects that power a cleaner, more sustainable future. As an Energy Project Manager, you will lead a team of experts, collaborate with industry leaders to design, implement, and optimize solutions that address the global energy transition challenges.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage energy projects from initiation through to completion, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability-focused initiatives
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners to ensure efficient execution
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote and maintain high standards of sustainability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage project documentation and reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/ Environmental Engineering or related science
  • Strong experience in project management within the energy sector (2-3 years)
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, energy efficiency projects, and sustainability practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) and HVAC infrastructure
  • Familiarity with NY/NJ utility incentive programs (ConEd, NYSERDA)
  • Project Management Professional certification or equivalent is preferred

Location : New York City, NY

Salary Range: $120,000 - $175,000 per annum
