Position: Enterprise IT Director – Healthcare Data

Location: Hybrid (Baltimore, MD)

Salary Range: $198,000 – $225,000/year

Start Date: ASAP

Location Requirements:

Role requires candidates to live in DC, VA, MD, PA, or DE, or be willing to relocate to one of these states. Relocation assistance is available. The selected candidate must be on site at the Health IT corporate office in Baltimore, MD at least two times per month.

Role Overview:

The Enterprise IT Director – Healthcare Data will serve as the organizational leader for data platform modernization, analytics architecture, and the strategic enablement of health data across the enterprise. This role oversees the enterprise data warehouse (EDW), Microsoft Fabric platform, Power BI administration, and Epic reporting systems—driving the evolution toward a cloud-first, governed, and scalable data ecosystem supporting clinical, operational, and research priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the enterprise leader for data platform strategy, modernization, and governance.
• Define and implement enterprise analytics architecture, including standards for data modeling, curation, and cross-system integration.
• Oversee technical and strategic alignment of Epic Caboodle, Clarity, and cloud-based analytics platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Power BI).
• Partner with governance and technology councils to shape data access, ownership, and security strategies.
• Lead communication, stakeholder engagement, and adoption strategies across clinical, financial, and research domains.
• Implement structured change management, training, and certification programs to promote responsible data use.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of IT and healthcare analytics experience.
• 5+ years in healthcare IT leadership and project management.
• Proven track record leading large, complex health IT initiatives, governance frameworks, and enterprise solutions.
• Experience with healthcare data infrastructure initiatives.
• Proficiency with the Epic Data Suite (Epic Cogito, Clarity, Chronicles, Caboodle).
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, etc.).
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting environments (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Epic health system experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification preferred.
• Six Sigma or other operational improvement certifications preferred.
• Experience with Databricks preferred.
