Job Description

When you join GAR, you join something bigger. Big in scale, big in opportunities to grow, and big in impact. With over 100,000 employees across 14 countries, spanning Asia, Europe, North America, and South America, Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is one of the largest agribusinesses in the world. We manage over half a million hectares of palm oil plantations, including smallholder farms, across Indonesia. But our size is only part of the story. Since 1997, we’ve put sustainability at the centre of how we grow, working hand-in-hand with farmers, communities, and partners to deliver food, fuel, and a better future.

We’re a seed-to-shelf business rooted in palm oil, now expanding across other essential crops like sugar, soybean, sunflower, and coconut.

Our people are our edge. We invest in them through global opportunities, cross-border exposure, and continuous learning, because growing a better business starts with growing our people.

Here, your career feeds something meaningful for the planet, people, and generations to come.

We are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will work closely with the GAR USA Oleo commercial and operations teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive financial reporting to our Singapore head office.

You will oversee, implement, and maintain management reporting processes and policies for the Oleo product distribution business in the U.S. You will be responsible for monthly and ad-hoc reporting, margin and SKU profitability analysis, cost analysis, and delivering actionable insights that support profitable growth and working capital efficiency.

You should be an analytical, proactive, and collaborative professional with excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines, engaging senior management, and driving process improvements. You thrive both as a team player and an independent thinker in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

This position reports both to the USA Finance Director and the Oleo CFO internationally, and involves daily collaboration with Commercial and Operations teams to translate operational performance into clear financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oleo is a relatively new product within the GAR USA distribution portfolio. A key responsibility of this role is to understand the business flows and update or refine existing accounting procedures as needed. This includes financial statement preparation, month-end closing, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance

• Prepare dedicated supporting schedules for financial statements related to the Oleo business, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations

• Review and analyze financial statements and records, providing clear reports and data insights to various internal stakeholders

• Advise and support different departments on accounting and tax compliance by researching requirements and ensuring adherence to relevant internal, national, and international regulations

• Liaise with finance teams in Singapore and Indonesia, addressing ad-hoc queries and supporting additional reporting needs

• Provide support to the CFO Oleo and the GAR USA Finance Director by acting as a key advisor in strategic decision-making and ensuring alignment with financial objectives

• Oversee the preparation, monitoring, and management of budgets related to the Oleo product distribution business in the U.S

• Lead and support the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of ERP and financial systems

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Professional certifications are an advantage

• 7–10 years of experience in finance and/or accounting

• Experience in a leadership capacity is a plus

• Strong knowledge of U.S. financial regulations, GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards

• Prior experience in the commodities industry

• Solid proficiency in SAP and CTRM systems

• Experience working in an international environment
