Job Description

Overview:

International Air Tool Company is a San Diego based, cross border industrial distributor serving the manufacturing and metal working industries of Southern California and Baja, Mexico. We are both a traditional distributor and an e-commerce company.

We are seeking an organized and detail oriented fulfillment specialist to run our storeroom and perform back up customer service. This is a busy job for someone good under pressure and who can handle a fast paced work environment.

Duties:

  • Receive and Ship Packages Locally, Nationally, and Internationally
  • Pick and Pack Orders
  • Make Shipping and Inventory Labels
  • Organize Inventory Both Physically and in Quickbooks
  • Make Local Deliveries To Customers Around Town
  • Expedite Open Sales Orders and Purchase Orders
  • Document Standard Operating Procures and Work Flows
  • Perform Cycle Counts and Adjust On Hand Inventory in Quickbooks
  • List Surplus Items On eBay!
  • Some Back Up Customer Service - Quotes, E-Commerce Order Entry, Back Up Phones, Send Purchase Orders, Provide Order Status, Provide Price and Availability.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an Industrial Distribution or supply company highly preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, focus, and the ability to think outside the box to attain desired outcomes (we solve problems all day long)
  • Good basic business math skills and an understanding of the concepts of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), gross profit, margin, and mark-up.
  • Great listening, verbal, and written communication skills (E-mail is our customer’s preferred method of communication so we use a lot of it)
  • Solid Microsoft Word and Excel Skills
  • 3+ years’ experience working with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Profit 21, or similar ERP software.
  • 3+ years’ experience physically shipping and receiving packages preferably in a company with an e-commerce storefront (Big Commerce, Shopify, NetSuite, Magento, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of quotes, sales orders, purchase orders, invoices, pick lists, return authorizations, and packing slips.
  • 3+ years’ experience organizing warehouses or storerooms, fulfilling orders, creating both product and shipping labels, improving workflows, and controlling product inventory levels.
  • Clean driving record and willingness to make customer deliveries around town 1 to 1-1/2 days per week.

We work from a small, but nice industrial suite in the La Costa Meadows business park in San Marcos.
