We are looking for an experienced PART-TIME REMOTE Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a busy non-profit bookkeeping service based in Spokane Valley, Washington. This is a contract position offering an opportunity to contribute your expertise in financial management and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accurate and efficient bookkeeping processes.
This is a fully remote PART-TIME opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong Quickbooks Online, non-profit fund and grant experience, and month-end and year-end close experience. This PART-TIME position will be about 20 hours per week. This position is immediate, contract or contract-to-permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Attach receipts and supporting documents to corresponding transactions for proper record-keeping.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and address unresolved transactions promptly.
- Maintain clean and accurate financial records to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Process data from Excel expense logs, ensuring all information is properly recorded.
- Assist in year-end closing tasks and related financial procedures.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as required.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial reporting.
- Review and update the chart of accounts, including customers, grants, departments, and classes.
- Participate in weekly virtual meetings to collaborate with the Executive Director.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned, leveraging your expertise and experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, with advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Strong ability to adapt to varied client procedures and financial processes.
- Solid understanding of expense tracking and grant management principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven reconciliation skills.
- Experience working with multiple funds and classes in financial systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines effectively.
