We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Furniture Delivery Driver and Helper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering furniture to customers’ homes and assisting with the unloading, assembly, and placement of furniture. The ideal candidate should be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and be capable of providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Furniture Delivery: Safely load, transport, and deliver furniture to customer locations in a timely manner.
· Customer Interaction: Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing excellent customer service during the delivery process.
· Unloading and Placement: Assist with unloading furniture and placing items in the desired location at the customer’s home or office.
· Assembly: Help assemble or install furniture as required, ensuring all items are set up to customer satisfaction.
· Inventory Management: Check inventory to ensure that all items are accounted for before and after delivery.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure all deliveries are performed in compliance with safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and vehicle operation.
· Vehicle Maintenance: Keep delivery vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues or damage.
· Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate delivery logs, including signatures from customers and any necessary forms.
Qualifications:
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Previous experience in delivery, furniture moving, or a similar role is a plus.
· Ability to lift heavy furniture and perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and carrying.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
· Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledge of furniture assembly and installation is a plus.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Valid DOT Medical Card (Driver Only)
· Familiar with a 26ft box truck.
· Ability to work as a TEAM.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift and carry furniture, up to 100 lbs.
· Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, twisting, and climbing stairs.
· Must be able to work in various weather conditions and be on the move for extended periods.
