Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Development on behalf of our client, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering women and marginalized communities. This is a full-time position based in Miami, FL .

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Director of Development, you will lead efforts to design and implement fundraising strategies, foster meaningful relationships with donors, and drive organizational growth. This key role will have a direct impact on the mission by securing financial support from a variety of funding sources. You will collaborate closely with leadership to establish goals and oversee all fundraising activities, from grants to corporate sponsorships, while managing a team to support the execution of these efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support annual revenue goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporations, foundations, and government partners.
• Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events and initiatives, including campaigns and capital projects.
• Oversee donor cultivation efforts, ensuring meaningful and sustained engagement.
• Manage a small team, ensuring effective goal-setting, performance tracking, and collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and grants management within a nonprofit setting.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in public speaking.
• Familiarity with fundraising best practices and donor relationship management.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This role offers a starting annual base salary range of $85,000-$95,000 with a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance at no cost to the employee. In addition to generous paid time off and holidays, you will have access to a 401k plan with company contributions and support for your professional development and growth within the organization.
