Job Description

Position Summary:

The Infusion RN provides professional nursing care to patients in the Division of Rheumatology. This role combines direct infusion services with patient triage, education, and care coordination to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer infusion therapies and monitor patients throughout treatment.
• Perform IV insertions, blood draws, and infusion-related procedures with skill and precision.
• Provide nursing triage, including assessing and responding to patient concerns or clinical needs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients in collaboration with the care team.
• Educate patients and families regarding infusion therapy, disease management, and home care instructions.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and staff to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
• Document care, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with institutional policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license (New York State required).
• Previous experience in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and infusion therapy required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Experience in rheumatology, oncology, or other infusion-related specialty preferred.

The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
