Job Opportunity

We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead growth and strengthen our presence in the USA, with a particular focus on driving business opportunities between the USA and Australia-New Zealand (ANZ) markets.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in business development or sales within the USA-ANZ markets, demonstrating expertise in import/export operations, as well as air, land and sea freight logistics, with a keen ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in freight transportation between the USA and ANZ markets.
  • Design and implement strategic plans to meet sales targets and grow the client base.
  • Lead contract negotiations, manage the full sales cycle, and close deals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to stay ahead of the curve.

Client & Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by offering customized freight solutions.
  • Act as a key point of contact, ensuring seamless communication between clients and internal teams.
  • Foster long-term partnerships with key accounts to drive repeat business and brand loyalty.

Industry Expertise

  • Provide expert advice on air, sea, and land freight transportation to optimize client solutions.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to guarantee efficient service delivery.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

Cross-Border Market Insights

  • Leverage your deep understanding of USA-ANZ trade to navigate market nuances and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Streamline processes to support cross-border freight movement and ensure operational excellence.

Performance & Reporting

  • Deliver regular performance reports, market insights, and client feedback.
  • Use data-driven strategies to refine approaches and achieve superior results.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development or sales in freight forwarding.
  • Demonstrated expertise in USA and ANZ markets, with knowledge of import/export operations.
  • Strong understanding of air, sea, and land freight transportation services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in freight logistics for the USA and ANZ.
  • Established network in the freight transportation industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and craft actionable business strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
