Loloi Rugs is seeking a Junior Photo Retoucher for immediate hire to edit product photography, creative imagery shot on location and in studio and create composites for both Loloi and its sister brand, Joon Loloi. In addition to experience editing product photography, a background in retouching interiors photography is preferred. The Retoucher will work closely with the entire Marketing/Creative team on a daily basis (Monday-Friday). This position requires the use of Adobe Photoshop to retouch images in a non-destructive workflow. Candidates must possess the ability to perform complex compositing using multiple files, and have an advanced understanding of retouching techniques such as pathing, masking and color correction.

If you're a skilled Retoucher who has a strong eye for detail, works well with tight deadlines, and can balance efficiency with quality, then this is an ideal role for you. This position reports to our Senior Photo Editor and Director of Marketing Production. This role is full-time, in-office at our HQ in Dallas.

Responsibilities

• Edit, retouch, and color-correct creative and product imagery (including color shifting and creating composites) for placement on our sites, publications, email campaigns, annual and quarterly catalogs, brochures, advertising, and more
• Communicate with Photographers, Sr. Photo Editor, Art Directors and Director of Marketing Production on assignment expectations, editing progress, reviews/revisions and project deadlines
• Communicate potential challenges, questions or concerns to the Senior Photo Editor and Director of Marketing Production on a timely basis
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of professional experience in image retouching/editing
• Skilled and passionate about retouching of interiors photography, experience with portrait retouching a plus
• Well versed in editing techniques and have a clear understanding of non-destructive layer management within Photoshop.
• Knowledge of file management and workflow a plus
• Comfortable in a Mac OS environment
• Use of a Wacom tablet is required
• Extremely organized
• A team player with a positive and upbeat attitude
• Flexible and supportive work style
• Handles constructive criticism well
• Effective and punctual communicator
• Works well independently, given specific instruction/direction
• Enjoys sharing knowledge in addition to learning from others
