Job Description

An international supplier of Automated Manufacturing Equipment is looking for a motivated Junior Sales Representative to join their office near Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate will have sales or customer service experience in an industrial environment, and is technical-minded, with the ability to independently develop new clients and business opportunities. This is a full-time, direct-hire position that offers a competitive salary and outstanding benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Junior Sales Representative Responsibilities:

• Identify new business development opportunities, and establish relationships with potential customers within assigned sales territory
• Interface with customers and clients regarding product issues, quality assurance, questions, etc.
• Collaboration with sales teams and clients regarding market analysis, product planning, and expected demand
• Product proposal preparation and delivery
• Create price quotations and negotiate prices and costs with customers; secure product orders and follow up on tracking and delivery
• Occasional business travel as required (up to 20%)
• Other duties as assigned

Junior Sales Representative Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field, OR equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years’ sales / account management experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required
• Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and good organizational skills
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
