Job Description

Russell Tobin is seeking a Lab Technician II for an American multinational conglomerate operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, healthcare, and consumer goods.

Job Title: Lab Technician II

Location: Maplewood, MN (on-site)

Job Type: Contract

Length: 12-Months

Hours: 7am - 4:30 pm (flexible on start/end time)

Pay Rate: $22 - $25 per hour

Job Description:

• Performing a wide range of laboratory tests and experiments on industrial products, following established protocols and procedures
• Operating, maintaining, and calibrating multiple pieces of equipment used in the preparation and testing of abrasive samples
• Preparing and characterizing samples and resins using prescribed formulations and test methods while adhering to strict safety guidelines
• Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data accurately and efficiently
• Documenting and reporting test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing
• Maintaining clean equipment and lab space for safe operation

Requirements:

• At least 2 years working in a laboratory setting in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Consistent, reliable transportation to this on-site job.

Preferred:

• Strong technical and/or mechanical background
• Experience with pilot or production manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with safe chemical handling practices
• Hands-on, self-starter approach
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Comfort working with equipment user interfaces and Microsoft Excel
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Reliability and consistency

Education:

• High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution required
• Associate, Technical degree, or higher in a relevant science or engineering field (ex. Chemistry, materials science, or mechanical engineering) preferred
