Position Overview

The Lead Mitigation Technician plays a crucial leadership role in directing and executing restoration projects related to water, fire, mold, and storm damage. This is not just a technical position — it is a field leadership role requiring the ability to manage crews, oversee complex projects, ensure safety and compliance, and deliver exceptional client experiences. This role is ideal for a confident, experienced restoration professional who thrives in high-responsibility environments and is committed to leading by example. Emergency response availability after hours and on weekends is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mitigation field teams, ensuring high performance and accountability
• Conduct property and structural damage assessments to determine restoration needs
• Oversee and participate in water extraction, drying, and cleanup operations
• Implement mold remediation, fire restoration, and asbestos abatement procedures
• Train and mentor technicians, promoting skill development and best practices
• Operate restoration tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate project documentation using industry-standard software
• Communicate directly with clients, providing updates and managing expectations
• Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for emergency response

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mitigation/restoration, with proven leadership experience
• WRT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of mold remediation and asbestos abatement processes
• Comfortable lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in various site conditions
• Excellent leadership and team supervision skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with clients and team members
• Availability for after-hours, night, and weekend emergencies

Work Schedule

Full-time, with rotating on-call availability for emergency response outside of regular business hours.
