Epworth Children’s Home is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Counselor to join our growing Epworth Center for Counseling in the Lowcountry region. This position plays a critical role in providing individual and group counseling, conducting assessments, and supporting clients in a healing, faith-informed environment.

The Licensed Counselor will work under the leadership of the Center’s Director and contribute to a team committed to providing high-quality, culturally informed mental health care for children, youth, and families.

• Provide individual and group counseling services tailored to meet the unique needs of clients.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment assessments.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, schools, and other service providers.
• Engage in clinical supervision and support the overall mission of the Epworth Center for Counseling.
• Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and professional standards.

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field.
• Current licensure in South Carolina required (LPC, LISW, LMFT).
• Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting preferred.
• Experience in conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic communication platforms.
• Must be able to pass all required background checks (drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry).
• Must align with the values and faith practices of the United Methodist Church .
