Job Summary

Are you a technically savvy procurement leader with a passion for launching new products and building high-performance supplier relationships? AGS is seeking a Manager of Sourcing and Procurement to lead sourcing initiatives that directly impact our growth, innovation, and bottom line.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our Operations team, you'll:

• Lead global sourcing strategy and purchasing priorities to align with AGS’s business goals.
• Partner with Development Engineering to support successful new product launches that hit cost and schedule targets.
• Drive supplier excellence - identify, develop, and manage top-tier suppliers who deliver exceptional quality, value, and technology.
• Negotiate and secure strategic supply agreements that enhance our competitive edge.
• Champion supplier performance management including scorecards, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Guide cross-functional initiatives to reduce costs, improve manufacturability, and enhance product quality from the early design phase onward.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain management
• 5–7 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or sourcing of technical products.
• Hands-on knowledge of sourcing components like sheet metal, machined parts, PCBAs, cables, and molded plastics used in electromechanical assemblies.
• Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and use that knowledge in supplier discussions.
• Strong background in cost modeling, supplier negotiations, and ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
• Exceptional communication skills—whether collaborating with overseas factory teams or presenting to our C-suite.
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to lead a small team of sourcing and purchasing professionals and influence outcomes in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
