MFV, a 501(c)(4) organization, builds Latino political power through advocacy, organizing, and mobilization to ensure that Latino voices shape the policies that impact their health, safety, and prosperity.

This leader will oversee external and internal communications, drive strategic plans for programmatic and policy campaigns across multiple states, and elevate MFV’s presence on the national stage.

The Communications Director will serve as MFV’s chief strategist, and brand steward, shaping how Latino civic engagement is represented in the public sphere. The Director will manage a communications team and collaborate closely with organizers, policy leaders, and national/state staff to advance our mission of building Latino political power.

  • Establish effective systems for cross-departmental collaboration.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent MFV with external stakeholders, including media outlets, allies, elected officials, and partner organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key political reporters, influencers, and opinion-shapers.
  • Collaborate with vendors (consultants, pollsters, advertising agencies, multimedia producers) to execute campaigns.

Internal & External Alignment

  • Work with state offices and national departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Provide communications support for organizational leadership, Board of Directors, and state leadership.

Desired Qualifications:
