Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco and Ubiquiti technologies to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and troubleshooting a range of networking devices, ensuring security, optimizing performance, and collaborating with IT and business teams to support robust, scalable, and secure network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation:

• Plan, design, and deploy network solutions across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments to meet organizational needs.

Cisco Technologies:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Ubiquiti Technologies:

• Configure and support Ubiquiti UniFi systems including switches, access points, and surveillance devices.

Network Security:

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and security policies to protect data and systems.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:

• Use tools like Cisco Prime, NetFlow, and Wireshark to identify and resolve complex network issues promptly.

Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor network performance and availability, identify bottlenecks, and optimize infrastructure for high reliability.

Collaboration & Integration:

• Work closely with other IT professionals and stakeholders to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.

Documentation:

• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking and cybersecurity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP), and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, firewall configuration, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi systems, including switches, wireless APs, is preferred.
• Familiarity with network security principles, including firewalls, VLANs, and access control.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience using diagnostic tools to resolve network issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear technical documentation and cross-team collaboration.
