CoWorx Staffing has an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Manufacturing Supervisor working for our premier client in Lawrenceville, GA. This is a direct hire opportunity. The hours are Monday night to Friday morning from 5:30pm-4:30am. The position requires you to train on day shift from 7am-5:30pm Monday to Thursday for 6 weeks.
Basic Function: To manage all aspects of the production process as well as relevant personnel to ensure that quality products are being produced in a safe and efficient manner. Candidate should have managerial and extruder experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that production extruder operators and production material mixers are working within the guidelines of company policies and procedures to ensure quality products are being produced in a safe manner.
• Apply knowledge of Proper set-up, start-up, breakdown, and close-out to ensure that the equipment is operated in the proper manner to prevent equipment failure.
• Utilize control plans to serve as a guideline for materials testing; be familiar with lab testing and injection molding equipment.
• Follow and implement company policies to promote a safe and productive environment through effective teamwork and project involvement.
• Work closely with production extruder operators to minimize scrap yields and increase overall efficiencies.
• Verify accuracy of production paperwork to ensure shift metrics are correctly reported and workorders are filled out with all pertinent information.
• Evaluate & document employee performance to ensure employees are meeting overall performance expectations and company standards.
• Assist with developing and maintaining an effective organization through the selection, training, motivation, termination, and review of employees.
• Work with Quality Control Technicians to correct problems with any non-conforming materials during the production process.
• Communicate with warehouse personnel regarding locations and usage of raw materials & finished goods.
• Report to plant/operations management about any changes necessary to ensure the shift is successful. Additionally, document any incidents or maintenance concerns and communicate these accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness / 5S in all production areas.
• Proper communication with personnel within oncoming shifts. • Able to carry out duties of Extruder Operator I/II/III (refer to relevant job descriptions).
• Able to carry out duties of Materials Mixer (refer to relevant job description).
• Complete any other tasks as assigned.
