JOB SUMMARY

The Outsourced Business Accounting Manager will compile and provide timely and accurate financial data to clients as well as provide advisory services around that data. The Outsourced Business Accounting Manager will help the advancement of the department by further developing technology, processes, and people.

JOB DUTIES

• Reviews and analyzes client financial statements.
• Provides client consulting and strategizing.
• Acts as the client's Outsourced Controller, when applicable.
• Assists sales team in preparing proposals.
• Onboards new clients.
• Strives for an advisor relationship in every client interaction, always seeking opportunities to help clients advance their businesses and reach their goals.
• Be an active participant in business development meetings to build strong relationships and attain new client projects.
• Be a technical resource, sounding board and example for other members of the Outsourced Business Accounting team. This may require formal and informal group training and individualized coaching.
• Support the growth and professional development of yourself and your teammates by participating in company sponsored trainings, CPE courses, internal committees, and mentorship opportunities.
• Be transparent in your decisions, communicate effectively with your team and be a flexible leader to accommodate various management styles.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years with both public accounting and private company experience
• BA/BS in Accounting

• Ability to work with multiple clients and projects

• Ability to intake complex thoughts, synthesize them into clear, concise language then present with a cohesive narrative

• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Office, preferred
• PC proficiency, including spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software applications

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• MS Office /Windows experience particularly financial modelling and data management in Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients via email and phone
