Process Engineer Role

The Process Engineer will develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes within a lean manufacturing environment. This role works closely with customers and cross-functional internal teams to optimize production methods, improve quality, reduce cycle times, and drive cost savings.

Unlike many salaried engineering roles, this position is hourly, ensuring employees are compensated at 1.5x overtime rates for any additional hours worked.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing operations in productivity and quality improvements
  • Assure product and process quality by designing test methods and establishing standards
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process flows
  • Design and support tooling, fixturing, and gaging
  • Utilize CAD for fixtures, prints, and models
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Optimize processing capabilities using continuous improvement principles
  • Assist in the design and machining of new and existing features
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities
  • Interpret blueprints and apply strong GD&T knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Process Engineer or similar role preferred
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency
  • Experience with tooling, fixturing, and process optimization
  • Project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and contribute within a team environment
