About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the internal accounting function at Tremendous. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our accounting team. This role will work very closely with the Accounting Manager on month- and year-end closing, establishing accounting processes and documentation, and assisting with our annual financial audit. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Daily management of the Accounts Payable cycle

• Daily management of banking activities

• Execute accurate and timely reporting during the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, audit-ready documentation, accruals, and account reconciliations

• Assist with process improvements and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly close and internal control environment

• Assist with annual financial audits

• Participate in monthly financial analysis, reporting, and other ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in accounting

• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience

• CPA preferred but not required

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
