Job Description
Salary (flexible): $115k - $150k Position Overview The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are accounted for. This role involves collaborating with project managers, contractors, and clients to develop detailed proposals, analyze project specifications, and assess costs associated with materials, labor, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to identify key requirements
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather relevant cost data
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and Procore to create and manage estimates
- Evaluate requests for information (RFIs) and assess their impact on project costs
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary data
- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders
- Monitor project costs during the construction phase and adjust estimates as necessary
- Oversee and mentor junior estimators in the estimating process
Qualifications - Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating for construction projects
- Proficiency in estimating software including Bluebeam and Procore
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
