Senior Legal Counsel

Location: Texas

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join a fast-paced, collaborative legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters, including contract negotiations, claims management, corporate governance, and strategic legal advisory at all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts, including EPC, construction, employment, and vendor agreements.
• Provide legal and strategic guidance to business and functional teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to management and key stakeholders.
• Manage claims and litigation with clients, subcontractors, and third parties.
• Oversee employment disputes and related proceedings.
• Advise on corporate governance, compliance, ethics, insurance, leases, and collections.
• Counsel senior leadership on risk and support compliance initiatives.
• Partner with HR and departments on policy interpretation and legal compliance.
• Respond to regulatory actions from agencies like NLRB, OSHA, EEOC, and DOL.
• Support matters involving environmental, IP, and other legal areas.
• Assist with M&A due diligence and transaction support.
• Lead and complete assigned legal projects.
• Perform additional legal duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas or another approved U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with a strong background in negotiating and drafting large-scale EPC and related agreements.
• Prior experience in both law firm and in-house legal environments is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines across different time zones.
