Onward Search is a specialized education staffing and talent solutions organization that helps educators, therapists, and school health professionals find meaningful new opportunities with the nation's top school districts. We're currently searching for multiple dedicated and passionate Special Education Paraprofessionals to join a dynamic school team in Lake County, IL . These are full-time, in-person roles starting in March of 2025 and continuing through the remainder of the school year.

Job Details:

• Location : In-person (no virtual or hybrid options)
• Schedule : Monday - Friday
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours : 35
• Grade Levels : Various, elementary through high school

Key Responsibilities:

• Support emotional regulation and behavior management using coping strategies.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and track student progress.
• Assist with social skills development, including communication and conflict resolution.
• Provide one-on-one support during classroom activities and transitions.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent student support.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for students to express themselves.

Qualifications:

• A valid Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for Paraprofessionals in the state of Illinois, OR
• An Illinois Substitute Teacher license in addition to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
