Job Description:

The School District of Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of educators and specialists. The SLP will provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders, ensuring their needs are met in compliance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and state/federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students referred for speech and language services.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs.
  • Provide direct therapy to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, parents, and other school staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress reports, and IEP documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development.
  • Educate and consult with staff and parents on strategies to support speech/language development.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Current [State] Speech-Language Pathologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY supervision may be available.
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
