Senior Power BI Developer Location: South Bend, IN (Hybrid)
Salary: $90,000 – $115,000, depending on experience

In this role, the Senior Power BI Developer will design, build, and maintain dashboards and analytics solutions that enable teams to make smarter, faster decisions. As the Senior Power BI Developer, you will have ownership of the BI environment, ensuring data is accurate, visually compelling, and accessible to both technical and non-technical users.
Must-Have Skills What We’re Looking For - 5+ years of professional experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI
- Strong command of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M)
- Proven experience designing data models that are scalable and high-performing
- Ability to turn business questions into actionable BI solutions
- Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent work experience
Nice-to-Have - Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, or database design
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure SQL, Synapse, or Data Factory
- Knowledge of Python or R for analytics and data transformations
- Experience using Git or other version control systems
- Previous experience in multi-site or data-driven organizations
- Microsoft BI or data engineering certifications
Key Responsibilities Dashboard & Report Development - Create dynamic, visually appealing dashboards that support leaders and teams
- Build reports that simplify complex datasets and communicate key insights
- Maintain design consistency and establish visualization best practices
Data Modeling & ETL - Design and optimize robust data models in Power BI
- Develop reusable DAX measures and calculations to support analytics needs
- Ensure ETL/ELT processes deliver timely, accurate, and reliable data
Platform Management & Optimization - Administer Power BI workspaces, refresh schedules, and data gateways
- Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows for dashboards
- Monitor and enhance performance, scalability, and reliability
- Enforce security, compliance, and governance policies
Collaboration & Support - Work closely with teams to understand reporting requirements
- Provide training, documentation, and guidance to help users leverage data
- Act as a trusted resource for ongoing reporting and analytics requests
Strategic Initiatives - Contribute to long-term BI and data strategy as a Senior Power BI Developer
- Identify automation opportunities and streamline manual reporting processes
- Support special analytics projects, data quality initiatives, and modernization efforts
- Stay up-to-date with Power BI features and industry best practices
