Ledgent Finance has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of GL experience in addition to a bachelor's degree.
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Hampton, NH (on-site)
Salary: $70-80k
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Ensure transactions are accurately recorded for financial reporting and decision-making.
* Support regulatory activities and manage inter-company billing.
* Collaborate with finance and regulatory teams to ensure data accuracy.
* Assist external auditors and support regulatory audits.
Financial Reporting
* Prepare financial statements and reports following US GAAP, FERC, and SEC standards.
* Provide reports and responses to regulators.
* Contribute to sustainability reporting and budgeting processes.
Internal Controls
* Perform internal control activities, address deficiencies, and identify improvement opportunities.
* Enhance processes and collaborate effectively with other teams.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (required).
* Professional certification (desired).
* 2-4 years of accounting experience.
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
