Structural Steel Manufacturing Estimator

📍 Broussard, LA | 💼 Direct Hire | 💲 $80K–$100K (DOE)

Are you an experienced Structural Steel Estimator looking to join a growing team with global operations? This role plays a critical part in preparing accurate and competitive project bids that drive growth and profitability.

⚠️ Please Note:

• This is an onsite role in Broussard, LA (no relocation assistance provided).
• Only U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders will be considered.
• This role does not sponsor work visas .

What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform material take-offs and estimate labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to develop proposals.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/supplier quotes.
• Maintain cost databases and produce professional bid proposals.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years estimating structural steel or heavy industrial/commercial projects .
• Strong ability to read blueprints, specs, and welding symbols.
• Skilled in Excel, Word , and estimating software (FabSuite, Tekla, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding, material prep, and labor costing .
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction/Engineering preferred (experience may substitute).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
