Job Description

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a Temporary Medical Claims Examiner for a well-established client in El Monte, CA. This role is critical for ensuring the accurate processing of medical insurance claims. The position is temporary, spanning 2 months, and requires onsite work with convenient parking available in an open lot.

Responsibilities

  • Review submitted medical claims for accuracy, completeness, and required documentation.
  • Verify patient eligibility and coverage in accordance with policy guidelines and regulations.
  • Investigate discrepancies by communicating with healthcare providers, policyholders, or internal departments.
  • Make informed decisions on claim approvals, denials, or adjustments based on established criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records and enter claim data into internal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide feedback and suggest improvements for claims processing procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in medical claims processing or a related healthcare/insurance role.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, medical terminology, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and claims management software.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary: $24-$26 per hour DOE
