TITLE: Nuclear Test Engineer

LOCATION: Hybrid; Everett, WA

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 12 month contract; strong possibility of extension

EXTENSION/CONVERSION: Eligible

PAY RANGE: $60-80hr. W2

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Test Engineer that will perform testing activities to support nuclear reactors. This exciting opportunity will be with our innovative nuclear energy client. In order to be successful, you will need extensive experience in all aspects of hands-on laboratory and R&D experimentation.

• Responsible for reviewing test requirements, designing a test, executing the test, and writing reports
• Responsible for documenting test procedures and reports, as well as participate in test activities and handling post-processing test data
• Designing first-of-a-kind test stands for alkali metal experiments
• Assist in the drafting of test requirements
• Author the test design documents, test procedures, test report, and supporting documents
• Assist with data analysis and generate test reports

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of Engineering
• 3+ years as a Test Engineer
• Experience in a testing / research and development environment
• Experience with multiple types of testing (R&D, Acceptance, Validation, Qualification)
• Experience with documenting and post-processing of experiments
• Alkali metal experience preferred
• Experience with vibration, strain, and optical testing preferred
• Experience working on large complex mechanical systems preferred
