Job Description

The Talent Development Specialist is an entry-level professional role within our organization's Talent Development team. This position is responsible for providing critical administrative and logistical support to ensure smooth program delivery while developing foundational knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.

  • Craft compelling learning experiences using instructional design and design thinking principles.
  • Develop interactive, media-rich learning solutions for instructor-led, blended, online and virtual environments.
  • Support the implementation and administration of learning programs.
  • Assist in the coordination, delivery, and maintenance of educational initiatives under the supervision of the Director of Talent Development and more experienced team members.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for resolving logistical or technical issues during program delivery.
  • Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in materials and data collection for reporting purposes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in training, education, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and basic instructional design principles is preferred.
  • Certifications such as the Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) or Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating and delivering materials effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and e-learning tools.
  • Foundational understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models such as ADDIE or Bloom’s Taxonomy is preferred.
