Responsibilities:
• Driving and Operating: Safely drive and operate vehicles, including tractor-trailers, with a combined weight exceeding 26,001 pounds.
• Loading and Unloading: Pick up and deliver loads, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Paperwork: Accurately complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect vehicles before departure and perform basic maintenance when necessary.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safety on the road.
• Route Planning: Use maps and GPS to plan routes and navigate to destinations.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and co-workers.
Requirements:
• License: A valid CDL Class A license.
• Age: Typically, at least 21 years old.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driving Record: A clean driving record.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift items weighing up to 80 pounds and drive for long periods.
