We are looking for a Warehouse Manager for a global manufacturing company, who is opening a U.S. Distribution facility in Columbus, OH. This is a newly purchased 20,000+ sq ft. facility, with the first shipment of product for distribution arriving in mid-April. The ideal candidate will be the first individual hired for this facility and oversee all warehouse operations. These operations include receiving, inventory management and storage, preparing orders, and delivery. Your goal will be to launch the distribution operation, increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe/clean working environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership to get the warehouse prepared to receive goods
• Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment (Forklifts, Pallet Trucks, etc.)
• Organize and manage inventory in the warehouse to optimize space and ensure their safety during transport
• Compliance with Safety Standards and protocols
• Receive customer orders, prepare orders according to the purchase order, and ensure quality of products being shipped
• Shipping orders to the customer in a timely manner
• Manage Warehouse staff and communicate staffing needs to leadership
• Evaluate Key Performance Metrics (KPI's) to ensure quality delivery and cost-efficient workflow processes

Qualifications

• Degree Preferred - Not required with the correct level of experience
• 5+ years of experience performing all warehouse functions
• Experience managing an entire distribution warehouse and employees - Will consider individuals with Supervisory experience looking to advance
• Strengths in Shipping/Receiving and Logistics Knowledge - comfortable operating appropriate equipment to complete tasks (Forklift, Pallet Trucks, other warehouse equipment)
• Able to work autonomously with little direction and adapt to changes as needed
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a warehouse setting - hard-worker who is an effective communicator
• Understanding of U.S. shipping/logistics regulations - able to use ERP and/or WMS systems and software
