Pride Health is hiring for an Certified Surgical Tech to support our client’s medical facility based in Rochester, MN . This is a local contract or travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for procedures
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout surgeries
• Assist surgeons and surgical team during procedures by anticipating needs and handling instruments
• Ensure proper sterilization and organization of surgical equipment before, during, and after cases
• Adapt to changing conditions and unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with team members and patients
• Float between surgical specialties to provide support where needed

Skills Required-:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program OR graduate of an unaccredited program with at least 1 year of surgical tech experience in the last 5 years
• Solid knowledge and application of sterile and aseptic techniques
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing perioperative situations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of successful surgical technologist experience in acute care, perioperative, or surgical settings within the last 5 years
• Comprehensive understanding of surgical processes and procedures

Required Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program
• OR Graduate of an unaccredited program with required surgical tech experience as noted

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• For travelers: Graduation from an accredited or military surgical tech program verified through CAAHEP or ABHES is required

Work Environment & Additional Information:

• Work primarily in a hospital operating room setting
• Expected to work Monday through Friday with 10-hour shifts
• Overtime may be required
• No weekend or on-call responsibilities

Additional Information:

• Location: Rochester, MN 55905
• Job Type: 13 weeks- local contract or travel contract
• Schedule: Days: Mon-Fri, 10-hour shifts, 7 AM and 9 AM start times, OVERTIME required as needed, No weekends, no call
• Pay Range/Salary Range: $2100/wk to $2300/wk
