Our Eco-Pan team is looking for a Diesel Mechanic

We are offering an hourly starting rate of $34 hr depending on experience. Quarterly incentive plan and company vehicle to perform duties.

JOB SUMMARY

Eco-Pan, Inc., Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping, Capital Pumping LP has an immediate opening in our Portland, OR Branch for a full-time Mechanic. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure equipment functions properly.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Perform routine maintenance checks and services on diesel engines and hydraulic crane systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Repairs include but are not limited to; routine maintenance and repairing engines chassis and body components, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels and tires.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• As necessary, drive to jobsite to repair company equipment.
• Welding and metal fabricating - hard face weld on some wear parts. Weld and repair pans and other equipment as needed.
• Ensure all trucks meet DOT specifications at all times.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems and general mechanical principles.
• Welding or fabrication experience preferred.
• Commercial Driver’s License preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Must own a large variety of tools and a tool box. Employee will be responsible for maintaining these tools and insuring as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds to an overhead position.
• Ability to work outside and inside, around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with moving parts.
• Must tolerate working environment with outside temperatures that include excessive heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
