Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Honolulu for a Division Lead / Factory Manager. The Division Lead / Factory Manager will oversee daily operations, manage production planning, ensure quality control, and supervise manufacturing operations. The role will involve business development as well as strategic operations management to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the factory. The manager will also be responsible for coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of services.

Sales & Marketing

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, including supermarkets, big box stores, restaurants, and commercial foodservice providers
• Lead new product development initiatives based on market demand and customer needs, emphasizing fresh, pre-cut vegetables and fruits.​
• Oversee account management, ensuring excellent service and growth in customer accounts.​

Business Plan Management

• Develop and manage a budget, ensuring financial targets and KPIs are met
• Design and implement strategic business plans to drive revenue growth
• Oversee product development and new launches

Team Leadership

• Guide and support sales employees in their daily operations, ensuring alignment with company goals
• Foster collaboration between sales teams and factory operations to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture
• Lead, train, and supervise factory workers to maintain a productive and motivated team.
• Manage employee schedules, assign tasks, and oversee shift operations.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

Factory Operations

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the processing facility, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
• Monitor production schedules and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs when needed.

Quality Control & Food Safety:

• Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer expectations
• Oversee compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, and local health codes
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
• Work closely with compliance team to address any product or process issues

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

• Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure consistent supply
• Work with warehouse and logistics teams to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Track and report key production metrics, including yield, efficiency, and labor productivity

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing and distribution; experience in Hawaii preferred
• Experience selling to supermarkets and foodservice in Hawaii
• Skills in Quality Control, Operations Management and Food Safety
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work on-site in Honolulu, HI
• Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
• Experience in the produce industry preferred
