Johns Creek Baptist Church (JCBC) is a large congregation in Alpharetta, GA, and affiliated the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. The church is described as warm and welcoming. The congregation's focus is on the inward spiritual journey and the outward journey in mission.
The youth ministry serves students from 6th through 12th grades. There are currently 56 youth on the rolls, with about 25 participating in a typical week. The ministry has strong traditions in its Sunday school and Sunday night grow groups, and retreats are a core component. - Program Management: Ensure the continuation and spiritual focus of all youth programming (weekly, retreats, mission trips) through volunteer leadership, while maintaining accurate records and communication.
- Family & Congregational Integration: Partner with parents as primary faith influencers and integrate youth into the broader congregational life through intergenerational ministry and collaboration with other staff.
- Administration: Prepare and manage the annual youth ministry budget, maintain facilities and resources, and participate in weekly staff meetings, planning sessions, and churchwide events.
- Master’s-level theological degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in congregational ministry.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, lead, and connect with adolescents and parents.
