Locum General Dentist - $1080 daily
Dothan, Alabama
We are seeking a locum general dentist to care for residents of senior living facilities and nursing homes in the Dothan area.
Position Details
- 4 days a month
- 1 month commitment to start, with an indefinite extension
- Long term assignment
- Will cover 1 facility/day, possibly needing to address an emergency at another facility close by (rare)
- Monday-Friday; 8:30am-4pm
- EMR: NextGen
- Support Staff: Dental Assistant
- Required Procedures: Exams, X-rays, fillings, simple extractions, Dentures (new, replacement, and repairs), Cleanings
- Extractions are mandatory
Compensation
- $1080 daily
- Travel and lodging covered for dentists residing over 90 mins from Dothan, AL
- Malpractice insurance covered
- Weekly direct deposits
Requirements
- Previous experience treating elderly patients, immobile patients, and residents with dementia and other incapacitating aliments
- Must be willing to treat patients in various settings within the facility including patient rooms, common areas, and dedicated clinic spaces
- Active Alabama Dental license with no restrictions
Credentialing/Onboarding
- About 30 days of credentialing time
- Two training sessions, 1.5 hours each – paid hourly
- Will be issued a laptop
- TB test or chest Xray within 12 months – Required
- HepB Vax – Required
- Flu/Covid vaccination referred, but if unvaccinated must be OK with onsite rapid testing
