Zenith Rugs is an award-winning, boutique luxury rug company specializing in custom-designed for the hospitality industry, with a nationwide sales team. We are known for working closely with our clients to provide sophisticated, innovative designs, techniques, and refined coloration.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer who is a self-starter with strong visual skills, confident creative judgment, and exceptional attention to detail. This role is ideal for someone who thrives equally in designing and creating high-quality products and in managing timelines, workflows, and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Design from an accredited institution
  • Carpet design preferred; textile, fabric, or print design also considered
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in rug design, home textiles, or fashion design
  • Must have a natural eye for color, detail, innovation, design trends, and high-level creative direction
  • Superior Photoshop skills, with the ability to color-separate and alter designs within reasonable timeframes
  • Must provide a portfolio demonstrating excellence in pattern, color, originality, concept, and sophistication for luxury rug projects
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, fostering meeting project timelines, communicating design direction accurately and quickly with our mill partners. We use email and Zoom meetings with key mill partners.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Responsibilites

  • Lead the project management, design, and development, and creation of specifications for custom hospitality rug projects from concept through production
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of design, development, specification, and production to prioritize project importance and ensure each one continues progressing forward
  • Provide critical direction for the design team, and communicate directly with clients to understand the client's vision, scope, budget, and timelines
  • Clearly and efficiently provide feedback to mill partners on design direction, coloration, and construction details to assist in creating a luxury design
  • Provide production-ready materials and create detailed color, construction, and design specifications to ensure meeting client brand standards and delivering first-class finished rugs.
  • Responsible for using our Monday.com platform,for our design boards, and project tracking systems, for keeping up to date, accurate records for all phases of design, and working with the Production team to ensure that the final product achieves the design vision
  • Partner closely with the Production team to ensure that the final product aligns with the original design intent

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary range is $120K-150K commensurate with skills and experience
  • Benefits include 2 weeks of paid vacation, 1 week of sick leave , and all federal holidays
