We’re currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join a dynamic school team in Westwood, MA . This is a full-time, role starting ASAP and continuing through the remainder of the school year.

Job Details:

• Location : In-person (no virtual or hybrid options)
• Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8:30 am -3:30 pm
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours : 35
• Caseload : TBD
• Grade Level : Elementary
• Start Date : ASAP
• End Date : June 24, 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with special needs, implementing ABA-based strategies
• Assist in the development and execution of individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Support students in academic tasks, social interactions, and daily routines to promote independence and skill development.
• Collect and record data on student progress, behaviors, and interventions to support data-driven decision-making.
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage appropriate behavior and engagement in learning activities.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a collaborative approach to student success.
• Assist with personal care needs, sensory regulation strategies, and adaptive skills as needed.
• Maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and emotional well-being.

Qualifications:

• Must be ABA trained
• Associate degree (or higher), or
• At least two years of post-secondary education equivalent to at least 48 credit hours from an accredited institution, or
• Successful completion of a formal Massachusetts-endorsed assessment: Parapro or WorkKeys.
